MiniComi is a 1 day artists market inspired by those in Japan(eg. Comiket), held on Saturday July 23rd, 2011 in the Ballroom of the Student Union Building at the University of British Columbia. Artists will bring a wide variety of items for sale. This may include self published comics, doujinshi (fan comics), doujinSoft (we're hoping), prints, pins, jewellery, plushies and many other creative things that only artists and crafts people (crafty people?) can think of. We are currently seeking artists for our market. Please go to our artists registration page for more details. We hope to see you there!!!

Hi everyone,

I am finally finishing my Design Essentials Program in BCIT/Emily Carr. Right now, I am preparing for my upcoming grad show on April 22 commons.bcit.ca/digitalarts/in…

I've created a design blog for my portfolio recently. Currently, it's still not complete, but I will also be updating some plush related blog entries on there in the future. Come take a look if you're interested aiwadesign.wordpress.com Comments & Feedback are welcome for improvement!

After my grad show, I will be looking for a real design job...kinda scared...don't know what to expect. But, I have a lot of things that I want to fulfill in the future. I hope to work towards my goals one step at a time.

I also have a plan to start my own brand in the near future, right now I am doing a collaboration with my friends to design a t-shirt. I will post it up once we're done. Look out for my original character "aiwa" soon...

Weeee~ Canada has just won 14 GOLD medals for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, breaking the world record of having the most gold medals per country during winter games ever

I watched the last GOLD men's ice hockey game between U.S. and Canada. It was a really close match, with the U.S. scoring ~20 seconds before the 3rd period ends, tying the game 2-2. I thought we would have lost it, but Canada scored again during overtime making it 3-2. I think both teams played really well. I have to say Miller from the U.S. team is a really good goalie and so is Luongo from the Canada team, but I saw many ppl argue during and after the game over which country is better. Both Canada & U.S. played a good game. We're all human beings, winning or losing a game doesn't make one less important than another. Show some respect and be a good sportsman ppl~~~ Don't create hatred between each other. Don't ruin the whole Olympic spirit!  

Last but not least, still have to congratulate Canada for doing a great job during this Winter Olympic.

I know I've disappeared from DA for A WHILE cuz I am in a graphics design program in BCIT/Emily Carr, now I totally behind in catching up with the 1,346 Deviations that I watched, 674 Messages to reply or read XDDDD    

but I am graduating in end of April, so hopefully, I will be back on DA with some new work, maybe put up something that I did or learned from school. Wish me luck for the final month of school~ Then, it's off to look for a design job~ ^^

She basically took all my pictures from one of my blogs (b/c I also posted individual pics of the cube plushies there) and put them all on her blog and auction to make patterns for sale....and I think she also stole other pictures from other artists and made them into patterns for sale too...there's many many pics on that site

She's also the one who sold the plush patterns to Rainbowcatz Gift Shop (not the owner's fault..she's also a victim)

I think I will look into copyright soon...should I go back to my old work and add watermarks to them or just leave it..cuz they probably have the pics on their own comps anyways...

I don't mind people using my designs to make their own plushies for themselves or friends, but please do not claim the designs as your own and say they are original and put them up for sale.

I don't know if I can do anything about this...cuz I think even if I watermark my work, people can still take them if they really want to. Does anyone know if we can inform the host of the site if there's anything we can do?


EDIT: The host of the website has already been notified and put up credits. It's not her fault because she's not the person who made the plushies and she has no idea about the copied designs, so please do not leave hateful comments on her website, thanks!
